MagicRoom
Scan a room in a minute. See the sun through its windows.
Walk a room with your LiDAR iPhone and get an interactive 3D model plus a centimetre-accurate floor plan from the same scan. Every scan captures true north, so you can scrub real sunlight through your actual windows across the day and the seasons — handy at a flat viewing. Tap to measure, view in AR at full scale, export USDZ/PDF/JSON, merge rooms into a home. Everything runs on-device: no account, no upload, no analytics SDK. Free.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Rafael, the solo developer behind MagicRoom.
It started with a question at a flat viewing: "will this room be dark in winter?" Your iPhone already has the sensors to answer that. MagicRoom scans the room with Apple's RoomPlan (about 60 seconds), captures true north, and simulates sunlight through the real windows for any day of the year.
What you get: a 3D model and a dimensioned floor plan from one scan, tap-to-measure, AR at full scale, USDZ/PDF/JSON export, multi-room merge, and an optional on-device assistant (Apple Intelligence).
What you don't: an account, a server, a subscription, or an analytics SDK. Nothing leaves your phone.
It's free. I'd love to know what you'd want next — textured scans and a shareable "sun report" are in the works. Ask me anything!
