Maestro
Build software from specs, not code
Maestro turns your idea into working software through a team of AI agents, without touching a terminal. You validate each step, while Maestro handles product specs, architecture and implementation. The code can be regenerated; your specs remain the source of truth. Built for product-minded people who want to direct software, not babysit code. Free on macOS during the beta.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Maestro because AI coding started to feel backwards to me.
Models were becoming incredibly good at writing code, yet I was still spending my time inside terminals, reading generated files, managing context and constantly explaining the same product to different agents.
So I started experimenting with another approach:
What if the code wasn’t the source of truth anymore?
With Maestro, the source of truth is the specification.
You describe what you want to build, a team of AI agents turns it into structured product and technical specs, and then implements it. At every important step, you stay in control and validate what happens next.
If the implementation changes or needs to be rebuilt, the specs remain.
The goal isn’t to make everyone a better AI-assisted developer. It’s to make building software feel more like directing a product team.
Maestro is currently in beta on macOS, and it’s free to try.
I’d especially love feedback from founders, product people and builders who already use tools like Claude Code or Cursor: what would make you comfortable building a real product without ever needing to read the code?
Thanks for checking it out ❤️

Who hunted Maestro?
Maestro was hunted by Thomas Cohen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
