MaCursor

Custom cursor themes for macOS.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built MaCursor because customizing cursors on macOS has always felt harder than it should be. People personalize almost every part of their Mac — wallpapers, icons, themes, menu bar tools — but changing system cursors is still a surprisingly outdated and technical experience. I wanted to make cursor customization feel native, visual, and easy. MaCursor lets you apply custom cursor themes, import Windows .cur and .ani files, create and edit themes visually, scale cursors, and switch between favorite themes with global shortcuts. The project started as a simple way to apply cursor themes, but it grew into a full macOS cursor theme manager with built-in themes, a SwiftUI editor, Retina support, animated cursor import, Sparkle updates, localization, and a lightweight helper tool for shortcuts. It’s open source and based on Mousecape, but re-engineered with a modern architecture and native macOS experience. I’d love feedback from macOS users, designers, developers, and anyone who enjoys customizing their setup. What themes, features, or improvements would you like to see next?
