I was inspired by a conversation with my uncle, who often told me that before meeting my aunt, he used to eat alone and would sometimes even spend the holidays by himself. That's when I had the idea to create an app where users could connect on video to share a meal through random matchmaking.
I want to solve the problem of loneliness for many people with LunchLoop, which transforms the solitary lunch break of remote workers into a moment of true, spontaneous, and hassle-free human connection.
Getting started was tough because I didn't know how to code. Fortunately, I got lucky and clicked on a YouTube video talking about a new coding AI. This AI was much smarter than the others, although still imperfect. As this AI evolved, I was able to develop my app with its help, alongside Gemini, who polished my prompts and guided me whenever I lacked technical knowledge.
After 2 years of hard work, I'm finally done, and I am proud to present to you: LunchLoop.
