Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Makan, the solo developer behind Lumli.
This project started with a very simple question: Why do I have to upload my personal images to a mysterious cloud server just to do something as simple as compressing or resizing them?
That question slowly turned into Lumli. an all-in-one, browser-native workspace where everything (even the AI background and object removal ) runs 100% locally on your own device using WASM and WebGPU. No data ever leaves your computer.
Lumli wasn't supposed to become a platform.
It started as a weekend image compressor.
Every time I solved one problem, I found another tool I wanted to keep private and browser-native.
That's how it slowly became what it is today.
One thing that genuinely surprised me was that Google started sending traffic to the image compressor long before people discovered the rest of the project!
I'm really interested in hearing what you think about the performance and the private-by-design approach.
