Lumina Control

Control your monitor brightness, contrast & color

Lumina Control controls brightness, contrast, gamma and RGB calibration on all your monitors from the Windows taskbar — via DDC-CI, no driver needed. Multi-monitor sync, gaming mode (auto-detects fullscreen), focus mode (dims inactive screens), circadian brightness (real sunrise/sunset via NOAA algorithm), per-app profiles, tone curve editor with ICC v2 export. One-time purchase. Works on any DDC-CI compatible monitor.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Lumina Control after getting frustrated with my 3-monitor setup. Every tool I tried either required a manufacturer-specific driver, only worked on one brand, or crashed constantly. So I spent a few months building exactly what I needed. The core idea: one tray app that talks directly to your monitors via DDC-CI — the open protocol built into virtually every modern display — and gives you full control without installing anything sketchy. A few things I'm particularly proud of: Gaming mode — detects fullscreen automatically, applies your preset, then suspends all DDC writes so nothing interrupts your game. Restores everything when you alt-tab out. Circadian brightness — uses the actual NOAA solar algorithm to compute real sunrise/sunset for your city, then follows a sin curve peaking at solar noon. Not a gimmick, the math is solid. Tone curves + ICC export — monotone cubic spline editor per channel (R/G/B), exports a proper ICC v2 profile that Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve recognize. Useful if you do color-sensitive work on a monitor without hardware calibration. Per-app profiles — detects the foreground process every 500ms, applies your preset, restores when you switch. Works with window title regex filtering too. It's a paid app (one-time purchase, 7-day refund guarantee) but the core engineering is straightforward — DDC-CI is an open standard, everything runs locally, no cloud, no telemetry. Happy to answer any questions about how DDC-CI works, the tone curve math, or anything else. AMA 🙂
