I’m Tomas, a 15-year-old founder, and I built Lumina because I felt like traditional language learning didn’t prepare me for actually speaking.
You can memorize hundreds of words, but when you’re suddenly talking to someone in another language, it’s a completely different experience. I wanted a way to practice those real conversations before having them in real life.
That’s why I built Lumina—a website where you can practice realistic conversations with AI in 8 languages, from traveling and restaurants to school, work, and interviews.
