Hey everyone Luci is a social gamified personal finance app that makes managing your finances fun! Budgeting, saving, building credit, and staying on top of your finances help you make game progress, and you can also compete with others on financial knowledge via mini-games!
Whether you are a working college student or a few years out of college (younger millennials, "they" call us lol) looking for fun and simple ways to manage your finances, Luci is an app for you!
We launched our V1 a couple of months ago and received positive feedback. We are now happy to announce the launch of Luci V2!
Here is a look at the progress we have made so far:
- We are working with Rice University and students through Professor Emily Prinsloo's class
- Building a community at the University of St.Thomas with the help of Professor Beena George
- Won the Winner's Legacy Prize at Texas A&M's New Venture Competition Texas A&M New Ventures Competition

The basics of the game is that it's a space traveling game where you need to stay under your budget to keep your space ship moving (you can do additional personal finance missions to earn boosters to make your ship go faster etc)
As you travel you discover different checkpoints where you can unlock different buildings to build your world and you also earn XP based on how well you unlock the checkpoint, which then upgrades your ship to make it go faster.
