Hey everyone, My name is Drew. I'm a designer and one of the co-founders of Lottielab. We're super excited to be launching Lottielab's beta to the public and would appreciate your support! Lottielab is the easiest way to create, manage and export Lottie animations to your websites and apps. 🖼️ Import and edit Lotties, SVGs, from Figma or start with templates/ examples 🎨 Create from scratch using the pen tool, shapes, masks and more 🪄Animate with a simple but powerful timeline, with keyframes, easing presets and more 📄 Export as Lottie, Gif or MP4 to any platform 🌐 Ship optimised animations to iOS, Android, the web or your favourite website builder such as Wordpress, Webflow, Framer, Squarespace etc 👥 Share files and folders with your team or collaborate realtime in the editor We see Lottielab as the natural extension of the tremendous work that Hernan Torrisi, Gabriel Peal (@gpeal8), Brandon Withrow and various Airbnb folks did with the Lottie file format, an open-source file format for rendering vector animations in websites and apps in a performant way. It is fast becoming an industry standard, being used by millions of designers and developers globally, and already in over 60% of the top 100 apps on the App Store. It also boasts the largest community and library of assets to help everyone get started quickly in UI animations. However, the main tool for editing and exporting Lottie animations today is Adobe After Effects, a 30-year-old visual effects tool that’s not fit for this purpose, has a steep learning curve, and requires a patchwork of error-prone plugins. I and @alistair_thomson founded Lottielab after observing first-hand the frustrations a lot of designers and other product professionals (including ourselves) have had with the complex string of tools needed to edit and manage Lotties, it can be quite the headache and limits access to the benefits Lottie has to offer. We are streamlining this cluttered process into a simple, seamleass, all-in-one workflow, with all the benefits of modern design tooling fit for today’s product development teams — being web-based, collaborative and easy to use — no After Effects knowledge needed. Over the past months of being in private beta, thousands of designers and developers have shared valuable insights and feedback with us - Real MVPs. This has helped us shape a product many already love, and are using to create and ship Lottie animations to their apps and sites faster than ever before. ⚡️ This is one of the first steps we are taking towards our mission of democratising motion design and storytelling for everyone, everywhere, and to make the web more delightful through animations. We're still in beta and are constantly improving, so we'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback and ideas, and hope we can build the animation tool for you Thanks and happy hunting!
