Lotti

Private logbook where AI proposes and you approve

Lotti is a private logbook for your whole day: journal entries, tasks, habits and time tracking in one place, end-to-end encrypted across your devices. A staff of AI assistants reads what you record and drafts what to do next, but every suggestion lands in a separate space you approve before it touches your real records. Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. Open source, GPL-3.0.

Hunted this one because the approval gate is the part almost nobody builds. Most AI assistants write straight into your data and you find out afterwards. Lotti drafts into a separate space and waits for you to say yes, which is the difference between a thing you trust with a year of your life and a thing you try for a week. Matthias started this repo in 2016 and pushed to it again this morning. A decade of somebody keeping their own logbook is a strange and good reason to trust one. If you already track your days somewhere, what made you quit the last app you tried?

Who hunted Lotti?

Lotti was hunted by Rabnoor Singh. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
