Lomorage
Stop paying iCloud every month. Own your photo backup.
Lomorage backs up your photos and videos to your own computer or NAS, then frees up space on your phone. On-device AI finds duplicates, searches in plain English, and groups faces — nothing ever leaves your home. $1.99 once, no subscription, no cloud.
Hey Product Hunt! I'm Jiantao, maker of Lomorage. 👋
My phone was always full, and iCloud wanted $2.99 every month, forever. I didn't want another subscription, and I didn't want my family photos sitting on someone else's server. So I built Lomorage.
Here's the deal: the $1.99 phone app (iOS + Android) backs up your photos and videos to your own computer or NAS over Wi-Fi. The server software is free and open source — it runs on whatever you already have at home. Once backed up, one tap frees up space on your phone.
On-device AI does the tedious work: it finds duplicates and similar shots so you can clean up thousands of photos without fear of deleting something precious, searches photos in plain English ("beach sunset with kids"), and groups faces — all locally, nothing ever leaves your home.
No subscription. No account. No cloud. Cheaper than iCloud, simpler than Immich.
I'd love your brutal feedback: is $1.99 once a no-brainer, or is there something stopping you? Happy to answer anything in the comments all day. 🙏
