I'm Mehmet, an independent developer, and I built Log Cam: RAW 4K Video Camera. It records log video on iPhone, and every clip lands in the app's own gallery. That second part sounds small and it's the thing I actually built the app around. One place to look afterwards, so you always know where a clip is. The other piece I'm pleased with is that the log curves run in the app's own GPU pipeline rather than asking iOS for Apple Log. Apple's own Log recording needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later. This doesn't, so all seven profiles work on phones Apple's Log never reached. It needs iOS 17.6. If none of that means anything to you yet: a log profile keeps more highlight and shadow detail than a normal one, at the cost of a flat gray picture straight out of the camera. You grade it afterwards and the detail comes back as contrast and color. You don't have to stare at the flat picture while shooting, because the viewfinder has a Look mode, and if you import your own .cube LUT it shows you the graded picture instead. If it does mean something to you: Apple Log, Apple Log 2, S-Log3, Log-C3, V-Log, F-Log and F-Log2. ProRes 422 HQ, 422 or 422 LT, or 10-bit HEVC in 4:4:4, from 30 to 500 Mbps. Linear histogram, zebras at a threshold you set, false color. Manual ISO, shutter and white balance, and you can move focus, ISO and shutter while the take is running, not only before it starts. Whatever iPhone you're on, you get the most that phone can actually do. Lens, crop, frame rate and codec have to hold together as a combination, and the app works that out on your device, so what you're offered is what your hardware genuinely sustains at full quality. That took most of the build. Free to download with a paid tier. Happy to answer anything, and I read every piece of feedback. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id680...
