I wanted to keep using my real desk on Apple Vision Pro while choosing the room and scenery around it. I couldn't find an app that felt right for me, so I built one.
In Locus, you choose a 360° View and a 3D Room independently, then bring them together as your workspace. You can keep web pages nearby, import your own panoramas, or use Room Portal to bring a View into your surroundings. Animated Views add living water and ambient sound.
GPT-6 Astra helped me take Locus further in two ways: building our latest 3D Rooms and bringing animation to our Views. To my eye, the new Rooms are a big step up in quality from the earlier collection. Astra also helped create the animated Views, adding movement to the scenery around your workspace. Earlier OpenAI models and Claude have contributed to Locus too; Astra helped shape this latest stage of the product.
Core features are free to use, with optional in-app purchases. Locus is available now for Apple Vision Pro.
