Hey PH! I'm Abhilok — I built LockinRa solo over the past year
while studying CS at IIIT Guwahati.
The problem: every productivity app helped me *organize* work but
not actually *do* it. I kept ending the day with a perfect task
list and nothing shipped.
So I built a system that handles the whole loop — planning, deep
focus with active distraction blocking, voice task capture
(on-device Whisper), AI coaching (local LLM, no cloud), habit
tracking, and linked notes. Everything runs on your machine.
No subscription. No data leaving your device.
What I learned building this solo:
- Distribution is 10x harder than building
- Local-first is a real differentiator, not just a privacy checkbox
- Shipping something imperfect beats perfecting something unshipped
