I’m thrilled to introduce LocalPDF to the community!
Why I built this
Like many of you, I regularly need to merge, compress, split, sign, or edit PDFs (tax forms, legal contracts, client documents, and bank statements). But every time I used traditional online PDF converters, I felt uneasy knowing that my confidential documents were being uploaded to remote, third-party cloud servers.
Most online tools either harvest your documents, place arbitrary 5MB limits unless you pay, or make you wait in queues.
I asked myself: Why do we need a remote server to process a PDF in 2026?
