Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. It was born out of a frustration I couldn’t shake — every time I needed to compress a PDF, remove an image background or convert a video, I had to upload my files to some random server and just… trust them.
So I made this: 30 everyday file tools (image compression, OCR, PDF merge/split, background remover, video trimming, encryption, and more) that run 100% in your browser. Your files remain on your device.
We are at the place where we can run full FFmpeg, Tesseract OCR and AI-based background removal entirely on the client. No server required.
I would love to know what tool you find most useful – and if there is a file task you Google regularly that I haven’t covered yet, drop it below. Roadmap is open! 🚀
