Who hunted LLMScout?
LLMScout was hunted by Sourav Nandy. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Position-1 CTR on AI-Overview-triggering keywords fell from 7.3% to 1.6% between December 2023 and December 2025 (Ahrefs). The shift to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is here, and we built LLMScout to help you check exactly where your site stands against that shift in about 30 seconds.
The most-starred alternatives in this space (claude-seo, geo-seo-claude) both require Python 3.10+ and Playwright. This introduces heavy bloat and a recurring history of Windows install failures (e.g., claude-seo issues #137, #138, #139; geo-seo-claude issues #69, #21, #3).
We decided to bypass the heavy browser binaries and shell subprocesses entirely. LLMScout ships two independent, feature-equivalent distributions that prioritize speed and universal compatibility:
- Python CLI: Pure standard library with no runtime dependencies.
- TypeScript CLI: Just two lightweight runtime dependencies (cheerio, commander).
Because LLMScout doesn't download a browser or shell out to a subprocess, a fresh install on Windows works exactly as flawlessly as it does on macOS and Linux.
It runs 21 comprehensive checks to tell you whether AI systems can find, parse, and cite your site, tracking all 7 major AI bots separately.
