LiveIssues
Find open source issues made for you
Always wanted to contribute to open source but never found the right issue to start with? You know the loop: find a good org, then every issue is taken or beyond you. LiveIssues ends that loop. It scans your GitHub work and interests, maps both to unassigned issues across open source orgs, and flags the ones that went dead or stopped updating, so you can pick them up. Build your own profile of what actually matters. Free, and it only reads your GitHub - never posts or changes anything as you.
I built LiveIssues because of my own frustration. Earlier this year I was preparing for GSoC and wanted to contribute to open source, but I kept getting stuck at the same step: finding an org, and then finding an issue I could actually work on. I'd spend evenings going through GitHub org by org, and by the time I found something interesting, someone had already taken it.
So I built the tool I wished existed. It reads the languages and tools in your GitHub, asks what you care about in a quick onboarding, and maps both to unassigned issues you can pick up right now. You can also track multiple orgs in one place instead of checking repos one by one.
The best validation: it's how I discovered MLLAM, an org I'd never have found scrolling GitHub. I now have my first open PR with them.
It's free, read-only, and never posts as you. I'd love your feedback, especially on the matching quality - and if you're prepping for GSoC 2027, I hope it saves you the weeks I lost.

Who hunted LiveIssues?
LiveIssues was hunted by Kumar Shivam. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
