Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built **liteq** because of a small frustration that kept getting in my way: I study a lot with AI now, but the moment math is involved, everything falls apart. You type equations as ugly plain text, the AI replies in raw LaTeX, and it's genuinely hard to *read* your own steps while working through a problem.
So liteq is built around a simple dual-screen workflow: keep your AI tutor open on one side, liteq on the other. You type your math, and it instantly renders it as clean, handwritten-style formulas — so you can follow every step, catch your own mistakes, and actually enjoy looking at your work.
Funny enough, I was relearning some calculus while testing it and got a trig problem wrong on the first try (`π/3` instead of `π/6` 🤦). The AI caught it, I fixed it — and because every step was rendered cleanly, it was obvious where I slipped. That moment kind of sums up why I made this.
