Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We’ve been working with the Figma team over the last few months to build a magical experience for designers and developers alike, and are excited to launch Linear’s plugin for Figma today as part of Config 2023.
Design and engineering have historically been treated as two isolated workflows. Design work happens in design tools. Engineering work happens in engineering tools. A handoff in between often marks the only point of collaboration. Our mission at Linear has always been to remove noise and distraction from the product development process, providing streamlined workflows that enable fluid cross-team collaboration. So when our friends at Figma reached out with the idea to bring their platform and Linear closer together, we got to work.
The result is a deep integration between Figma and Linear that connects designers and engineers in one functional workflow. Both sides can coordinate work in their native environments without the need to switch tools or context, resulting in a frictionless feedback loop that keeps everyone aligned and focus.
