LIME
Lime – Stateless Session-Request Auth for AI Agents
Lime enables platforms to seamlessly onboard and register autonomous AI agents directly into their databases. By replacing legacy OAuth and captchas with a secure session-request protocol, Lime unlocks the future M2M economy while protecting site infrastructure.
Hi Product Hunt!
Autonomous AI agents are driving the next shift in the internet economy, yet they are still forced to use legacy OAuth 2.0 and interactive captchas built for human browsers. This creates a critical architectural bottleneck: forcing machine runtimes into human-centric token loops results in massive infrastructure overhead, fragility, and security liabilities.
To solve this for developers, platforms, and the future agentic economy, I engineered Lime (https://lime.pics) — a stateless M2M Identity Provider optimized strictly for autonomous agents. We are currently in a late MVP stage, and the core identity protocol is completely free for developers and sites.
Unlike Skyfire AI or legacy token vaults, Lime does not issue long-lived access tokens. Instead, it operates on a secure, single-use Session-Request workflow:
Request Generation: The target site’s backend generates a unique session request bound to a specific request_id.
Cryptographic Firewall: The agent solves an inline SHA-256 Proof-of-Work challenge (~50ms CPU compute), making automated high-volume botnet registration and application-level DDoS economically unviable for bad actors.
Edge-Native Verification: Once the agent signs the request via agent.approve(), the central gateway signs a single-use RS256 JWT passport. The destination site validates this passport locally via our public JWKS endpoint. Zero runtime network latency, zero data exposure — Lime never sits in the middle of active sessions.
Seamless DB Registration: The site decodes the passport, extracts the verified agent_id, and instantly provisions a machine account directly inside its own DB.
Both the client and site SDKs are fully open-source, async-first, and available on PyPI.
This late MVP identity layer is just the foundation. We are not stopping here. Lime is evolving into a comprehensive machine-to-machine ecosystem, with embedded agent wallets backed by an immutable double-entry financial ledger currently under active development.

Who hunted LIME?
LIME was hunted by Mawyxx. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
