Hey PH - I'm Vinay, solo dev behind lifori.
I built it because every habit app I tried had the same two problems: it showed me my entire habit list at 7 AM (so I did none of it), and it wanted an account before I'd tracked a single thing.
So lifori works differently:
Privacy you can verify, not just trust. No account, no email, no analytics SDK, no tracking of any kind. Everything lives on your device. The only server that exists is a rate-limited proxy for the AI coach - and I've documented the exact payload it sends, so you don't have to take my word for it. If you never use the coach, nothing leaves your phone. (If you want free and open-source on Android, Loop Habit Tracker is genuinely good - I'll always say so.)
One block at a time. Days split into Morning / Midday / Evening / Night, tuned to your age and schedule. You only see the habits that make sense right now. Decision paralysis was my real problem, not motivation.
Streaks that forgive. Missing one Tuesday doesn't erase 47 days. A freeze bridges the gap. Rigid streaks are why I quit every other app.
Honest about AI. The AI coach (Gemini-backed, 1 free question/day) lives in exactly one tab. Everything else - time blocks, streaks, the Focus DNA profile you earn after 14 days of real data - is rules and math, and the app says so. No fake sparkle icons.
Also: cycle-aware habit scheduling with PCOS-friendly 14–90 day cycles, Apple Health, a home-screen widget, 11 languages, and Bao, the panda who's nicer to you than your streak counter.
