Almost a year ago, I discovered AI-based deception detection and became captivated by the possibilities. I realized that, whether we like it or not, digital polygraphs will become a regular part of our lives in the near future, marketed by businesses and governments as "safety measures."
At first, I was hesitant to develop this tool due to its potential negative implications. However, after speaking with our existing user base, I recognized the significant positive impact it could have. From enhancing security measures to improving transparency in various sectors, the benefits and the need for this tool became clear as day.
Initially launched as LiarLiar.ai with no clear target audience, I soon understood the seriousness of the subject. It requires a professional, scientific, and academic approach.
Today, I'm excited to introduce PolygrAI Desktop—a PC application that analyzes videos, meetings, and interviews in real-time, providing dynamic risk assessments, sentiment analysis, and emotional state analysis.
Behind the simplified risk assessment score is extensive scientific research and data. PolygrAI collects audio and visual data, utilizes neural networks, and identifies cues academically linked to deception. These cues include heart rate fluctuations, blinking patterns, eye gaze shifts, hand gestures, voice fluctuations, specific keywords, and more.
PolygrAI Desktop is the result of nearly 100 customer interviews, transitioning from the complex, performance-heavy interface of LiarLiar.ai to a streamlined, user-friendly technology.
In addition to the interface make-over, we have started to actively collaborate with criminal psychologists and polygraph experts all around the world, which are helping us improve our software's deception detection accuracy.
PolygrAI is designed for non-tech-savvy users who want to engage in critical conversations without having to read numerous books on body language and human psychology. It alerts you when deeper investigation into a topic is warranted.
Despite 12 months of hard work, the software is still evolving. We are committed to achieving both user experience excellence and high accuracy, and we are on the right path.
