Lexor - Word Ladder Game
Solve Puzzles - Climb Leaderboards - Expand Your Vocabulary
Most word games give you one puzzle and call it a day. Lexor gives you 7 game modes, 30,000+ words, real PvP, 45 badges to chase, daily and weekly challenges, and a built-in dictionary. Low stakes, high replay. Expand your vocabulary, battle a friend, solve the daily - Lexor is there whenever you've got a free minute. Morning commute, lunch break, wherever.
Lexor started as a personal passion project - something I built for my wife and I to play since the daily Wordle wasn't cutting it. What started small - just a few modes, no badges, minimal settings - did not stay small. The finish line kept moving out. There was always another feature, another game mode, another "wouldn't that be cool?" moment. I had the time, so I decided to lean into it. Every time I thought I was near completion, I'd have Forrest Gump pop in my head:
"And when I got there, I figured since I've gone this far, might as well turn around just keep on going."
Each part of building the game lent itself as a stepping stone to the next - like climbing a tree, where every branch puts the next one within reach. Ideas changed several times with many features being built, ripped out, and refactored. Overall, I'm glad I built this game and am grateful for the time I was able to spend building it.
I hope that you find Lexor to be a fun and challenging game that tests your wits and brings you joy. Thanks for being here!
