Letterboxx
Your inbox isn’t a library. Letterboxx is.
Read, organize, highlight, and search your newsletters in a dedicated Mac app. Connect Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, or any IMAP account to automatically keep your newsletter library up to date without moving your original emails.
Hi everyone! I’m Chris, the solo developer behind Letterboxx.
I didn’t set out to build another email app.
I realized something after years of subscribing to newsletters: I loved reading them, but I hated reading them in my inbox. Email clients are built to process messages as quickly as possible. Newsletters are meant to be read, saved, highlighted, and revisited.
That simple observation eventually became Letterboxx.
Connect your email account once, choose the folders you want Letterboxx to follow, and every new newsletter automatically appears in your personal reading library. Your original emails never move—you simply get a better place to read, organize, highlight, search, and revisit them.
It’s been a fascinating experience going from product designer to solo founder. Building the app was only half the challenge — learning how to help people discover it has been the other half.
I’d genuinely love your feedback. Does the idea of treating newsletters as a library instead of another inbox resonate with you? Is there anything you’d want from an app like this that I haven’t thought of?
Thanks for taking a look, and I’m happy to answer any questions.

Who hunted Letterboxx?
Letterboxx was hunted by Christopher Anderson. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
