A same day, on-demand platform for small, spontaneous and casual hangouts. Whether you want to grab a drink with a new group of people, searching for a fun last-minute activity, or you've just moved to town and want to explore, Let's Hang makes it easy.
Hi all, I'm getting questions (@brando99 @morgane_prr ) about the difference between Let's Hang and Meetup:
Meetup is for events, Let's Hang is for hangouts. Hangouts are:
1- created the same day/evening you want to go out and they automatically close afterward, so no advanced planning like events.
2- typically involve smaller groups (4-10), so you don't get the alone in the crowd effect, it is a much more friendly and inclusive setup.
3- non-commercial, so no tickets or organizer
4- focuses on the users, unlike events which typically focus on some activity/performer
5- Hangout are organized inside the group chat where people plan spontaneously and gather within a few hours.
So a typical use case would be that you had a free evening and felt like going out. You open the app and see which hangouts are happening near you, and you join one that interests you due to the place or people in it. I found it to be a great way to make new friends and discover new bars, clubs, and venues without much planning, just whenever I felt like going out, and I don't need to depend on a limited circle of friends to have fun anytime.
