Lectu
Track your reading. No ads, no accounts, no subscription.
Lectu is a beautiful, private library for readers. Track what you read, arrange your shelves your way and see the map of your reading year. Import from Goodreads in a minute. No accounts, no ads, no tracking — and one payment, forever.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built Lectu because I was tired of my reading life living inside someone else's storefront. I've tracked my books on Goodreads for quite some time — clunky, ad-heavy, owned by Amazon, and quietly turning my reading into shopping data. I wanted the opposite: something that felt like a bookshelf, not a marketplace.
So Lectu is local-first. There are no accounts and no sign-up: your library lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud between iPhone and iPad. No ads, no tracking, no algorithm deciding what you should read next — recommendations come from YOUR library (the next book in a series you left half-finished, more from authors you rated 5 stars), not from a catalogue that wants to sell you something.
And it's a one-time purchase. €14.99, forever, no subscription. The essentials are free with no time limit: unlimited books, covers, statuses, import/export. Pro adds the deeper stuff — full stats, "the map of your year" (a timeline of every book you read, drawn across the months), reading sessions, unlimited shelves and quotes.
A few things I'm quietly proud of: you can import your entire Goodreads or StoryGraph library in about a minute (ratings, reviews, shelves included), the scanner reads the barcode AND the printed ISBN on old books that predate barcodes, and your backups include your covers — because your data should leave as easily as it arrives.
Lectu is out today on iPhone and iPad. I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially from other readers about what's missing. What does your current book tracker get wrong? 📚
