LeafLens is the app I wanted for that. Point your camera at any plant and it tells you what it is, whether it's safe around a cat or dog, and how to care for it. Then it builds a watering schedule for that specific plant and reminds you the day water is actually due. Mark it watered and the next reminder re-bases itself, so the schedule stays honest even when life gets busy.
