Lawn Slide - Mow & Puzzle

Swipe the mower — 768 puzzles, every one proven solvable

Swipe and the mower glides until something stops it — a rock, the pond, a teleporter. Mow every reachable blade before the moves run out. 768 levels across a garden, an ice world and a desert. None placed by hand: a generator forges the boards, a solver proves each is solvable, and the ladder is sorted so difficulty never drops. Plus a daily puzzle, grown from the date — no server. Free. No ads, no tracking, no accounts, no third-party SDKs. Soft launch — live everywhere except the US.

Hi everyone 👋

I'll be honest about how I got here: I went looking for a place to get real, critical feedback from people who actually look closely at things, and Product Hunt is what I found. First post, and I'd rather say that than pretend otherwise.

I released Lawn Slide a week ago — as a soft launch, which means it's live everywhere except the US. It's a sliding puzzle: you swipe, the mower runs until something stops it, and you have to mow every blade of grass before the moves run out.

The part that took the longest wasn't the game, it was the levels: I hand-built the first twenty and then couldn't tell any more whether a board was fair, hard, or even solvable.

So I threw them out and wrote a generator, a solver and a difficulty score instead. All 768 levels in the app came out of that, and every single one is proven finishable before it ships.

About the US, because I know that's where most of you are: leaving it out is deliberate, not an oversight. I'd rather fix the rough edges first and open the biggest market with a finished game than spend my one first impression there on a version I already know I want to change. It's a question of when, not if.

Which does put me in the awkward position of asking a mostly-US crowd about something most of you can't install.

So: if your Apple Account is outside the US, it's simply there — I'd love for you to play it. If it isn't, the screenshots still answer more than you'd think, and I'll gladly take that. (A VPN won't do it, before anyone suggests it — the App Store goes by the country on your Apple Account, not your IP.)

Three things I'd genuinely like to hear about:

The difficulty curve. It's sorted by a formula — route length plus a weight for every mechanic on the board. Formulas don't play games. Does it climb the way it should, or is there a level where you put the phone down?

The first minute. The core rule is that you don't stop where you want, you stop where the board stops you. Does that land without reading anything? This one you can answer from the screenshots alone.

The fuel tank. You lose fuel on a loss, a restart or a quit — never on a win. I built it as pacing, not as a wall. I'd like to know whether it reads that way from the outside, because I can't see it any more.

Anything else you noticed is very welcome too, including the harsh version. And if you've launched something yourself, link it below — I'd rather stick around here than drop in once.
