Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Indraneel — architect by day, and I rebuild my portfolio far too often.
Two things pushed me to make this. First, every portfolio template makes you fight a framework just to change your name. Second (and this is the real one), when I pointed a coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor) at those templates and said "make this mine," it burned tokens crawling components and still got things wrong. The template wasn't the problem; the repo shape was.
So I built launchfolio for the agent as the primary user (and it turns out that makes it lovely for humans too). It's not "AI magic", there are no model calls in the repo. It's just a repo shaped so an agent is cheap and reliable:
- One file to edit: all content lives in config/site.config.js. An AGENTS.md tells the agent to never touch the renderer.
- A contract: a JSON schema + inlined enums, so the agent doesn't grep the code to learn valid values.
- A deterministic loop: npm run check returns precise errors and a to-do list of leftover placeholders. No browser, no guessing.
So you can literally say: "Read AGENTS.md, set up my portfolio from my résumé, run npm run check until it's clean, and show me a preview." One prompt.
Under the hood it's a plain static site — no framework, no build, zero dependencies — with toggleable sections, auto-pulled writing (Medium/Substack/RSS), a project roadmap that syncs live from GitHub Milestones, and one-command deploys to GitHub Pages / Azure / AWS. MIT.
