Hey, I’m Dylan. I built launchAEO because I kept asking ChatGPT who to use in a category, and watching it name nationwide businesses rather than any local suppliers.
A plumber in Essex, a dentist in Suffolk, a garage down the road: they have a site, they have reviews, they serve the area. Then someone asks ChatGPT “who should I use?”, and the answer names a national chain. That is the problem. My specific questions were normally around "where should I take my car for a service near me" ChatGPT always listed the likes of Kwik fit, Halfords etc.
LaunchAEO is essentially for all businesses that want to get cited on AI but I really want to target the smaller local companies. I created the only dashboard with a lifetime free tier. No card details taken, I have tiered membership after free that is very competitive. I'm hoping the free initial tier followed by your standard starter and growth tiers will allow small business owners to essentially start small and scale their membership as they progress and learn. If you look at the audit, detailed fixes, suggestions and amount of metrics I give free account users I really hope its obvious that this is not just another SEO dashboard but one with a genuine focus on giving small companies a fighting chance with ai models.
The feedback that would help most:
If you run a local business, is the free tier actually of any help to you? Please FYI I some parts like the "local vs online" might be more geared towards UK customers so don't be surprised if its mentioning UK companies house or something along the lines.
Wording and ease of use on the free plan. You get a homepage audit: whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini can read the site, citation readiness, and issue / bugs by how serious they are. You will get the full fix text, action plan, copy-and-paste code where possible, task board. Everything else is unlocked on starter / growth tiers. You will see them as locked cards.
Was the free dashboard plain enough for a local owner? Did you know what the audit was telling you, or did the locked features get in the way?
What would make you come back and check again.
As we know most local businesses might need additional help either fixing their site or maybe even starting fresh. How should I communicate that we have devs available to help "get them going".
I have been creating this for over 6 months now, I have not previously launched my own saas product so would really appreciate any and all feedback. Also the wording across the site "pre login" I already know needs to be looked at I have focussed almost all my attention on the dashboard.
