LaterMe
Write a letter to your future self.Seal it.Forget it.Read it
Later Me does one thing: it lets you write a letter to your future self, seal it, and receive it on the day you choose. No social features. No daily prompts. Just a letter, a date, and a notification that arrives on your lock screen months or years later saying: "A letter from your past self." The seal moment is a full-screen dark animation with haptic feedback. It feels like closing something important. Because it is. Free to download, with optional premium for unlimited letters.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Later Me because I couldn't find an app that felt right for writing a letter to my future self and life experiences over the last few years highlighted the need for something like this.
The idea isn't new, FutureMe.org has been doing this since 2002 but nothing on mobile ever captured the ceremony of it. I wanted the act of sealing a letter to feel significant: a dark screen, a wax seal animation, real haptic feedback when you commit to it.
Once it's sealed, you can't read it or edit it. It just waits. Then one day, weeks, months, or years later it arrives as a notification: "A letter from your past self."
No social feed, no streaks, no daily prompts. Just a letter and a date.
Built solo using SwiftUI, SwiftData, and CloudKit. Would genuinely love your feedback especially on the seal moment, since that's the heart of the whole product.

Who hunted LaterMe?
LaterMe was hunted by Elio Patane. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
