Larust
Larust is a Laravel-inspired web framework for Rust.
Larust is a Laravel-inspired web framework for Rust, bringing familiar routing, ORM, validation, authentication, templates, and CLI tooling to a compiled, type-safe Rust stack. - WallabyDesigns/Larust
I've been working on a Rust web framework called Larust, inspired heavily by the developer experience of Laravel.
The goal isn't to recreate Laravel in Rust, but to bring some of the conventions and productivity-oriented patterns that Laravel developers are familiar with into a real Rust application.
It currently includes things like:
- Routing and middleware
- ORM/database support
- Validation
- Authentication and sessions
- Blade-inspired templates
- Migrations
- Artisan-inspired CLI tooling
- Controllers, models, requests, and resources
Under the hood, it's built on the Rust ecosystem rather than trying to hide it, currently using things like **Axum, SQLx, and Tower**.
I'm particularly interested in seeing what Rust developers think of the approach. There are already some excellent Rust web frameworks, so I'm curious whether a more opinionated, batteries-included framework with Laravel-style conventions is useful to anyone outside the Laravel world.
It's still an early project, so I'm very much looking for feedback on the architecture, API design, and general direction.

Who hunted Larust?
Larust was hunted by Steve Costigan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
