Hey Product Hunt! I'm Mark, an Android engineer from Nairobi.
Lapse started with a simple annoyance: the dates that cost you money are never in one place. The warranty is on a receipt in a drawer, the return window is in an email somewhere, and the annual renewal only shows up when the charge does.
So I built the app I wanted:
- Snap a receipt and it fills in the details for you (processed on your phone, nothing uploaded)
- Reminders at 60, 30, 7 and 1 day, so you hear about it while you can still act
- No account, works offline, your data never leaves your device
- Free, with no ads and no tracking
It's Android-only for now, built solo in the evenings and on weekends.
