Kuta
Describe a treadmill run, on-device AI drafts the plan
Kuta turns a plain-language idea ("30-min threshold with 4 hill repeats") into a structured treadmill workout, drafted on-device with Apple Intelligence. Review it, edit it, run it with exact speed cues over your music. No cloud, no account. 23 presets free forever.
Hi Product Hunt,
I built Kuta because every treadmill workout I wanted to do lived as a note on my phone: "10 min warmup, 4x4 at 14.5, 3 min jog between, 5 easy." I was reading my own scrawl mid-run and squinting at the speed.
Kuta 2.0 lets you skip the scrawl. Describe the session in plain language and it drafts the whole thing for you, on-device:
- "30-minute threshold run with 4 hill repeats"
- "Fun fartlek with sprints and a couple of hills"
- "2-hour marathon block"
You get a full warmup, main set with active recoveries, and cooldown, built from the paces you configured. You review the draft, edit any interval, then save. Nothing is persisted until you say so.
The part I care most about: it is private. Generation runs on your iPhone using Apple Foundation Models. No cloud, no account, no prompt history sent anywhere. When Apple Intelligence is not available, a deterministic synthesizer drafts the workout instead, so a safe prompt always produces something.
It is treadmill-native the whole way through. Voice cues read every speed change and mix on top of Spotify or Apple Music at full volume, no ducking. Distance comes from the speed and time you actually ran, not GPS. Incline shows on screen and gets announced. Every finished session produces a Strava-ready summary you copy in two taps.
23 coach-built presets are free forever, including 12-3-30, Norwegian 4x4, threshold work, hills, and mile repeats. Kuta Pro adds the AI builder and unlimited custom workouts, favorites, and history. One-time $2.99, no subscription.
I am the only person on this, and I am a runner before I am a developer. I will be here all day. Tell me what is missing, what feels off, and what treadmill session you would type in first.
Thanks for taking a look.
Erik

Who hunted Kuta?
Kuta was hunted by Erik Nielsen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
