KuroCat
A curious cat that tells you what to invest in and when
I got tired of clickbait financial advice. All speculation. Wanted something different, so I built it. KuroCat watches global markets and tells you what to invest in and when. It scores ETFs, bonds, gold, and more from 1 to 10. No jargon, no FOMO. Instead of finance speak, the app speaks cat. Purring means conditions look warm. Napping means wait. Hissing means be cautious. It's a tribute to my cat. Always calculating, never rushing, and knew exactly when to pounce. Free, no login required.
Hey everyone! I'm Sara, the maker of KuroCat.
I'm a data engineer and product manager, and I've always wanted to take the skills I use at work and build something for a wider audience.
The last year or so has been a lot. Between geopolitics, economic uncertainty, and the constant stream of headlines, I was already feeling anxious about the state of the world. The last thing I wanted was to also worry about my investments on top of everything else.
I'm a long-term investor. I just wanted one calm place that tells me where things stand so I can make quiet, informed decisions and go do Muay Thai instead.
That's what KuroCat is. When markets panic, KuroCat purrs. Or naps. Or hisses. The idea is that checking in on your investments should feel more like asking a calm, observant cat than staring at a Bloomberg terminal.
The whole app is a tribute to a cat my family rescued when I was young. I found him next to our pool when I was a competitive swimmer, took him home, and the first time I pet him I dripped all over him and he didn't mind. He was the smartest cat. Opening doors, cupboards, always finding food. He was my best friend growing up.
Can you find the hidden paw in the app? It has my cat's real name. It's not Kuro.
Would love to hear what you all think.
