Kosti is a logic puzzle adventure that adds exploration and collecting to grid-based deduction. Avoid hidden traps, uncover artifacts, complete themed museum collections, and use exploration tools when a board gets difficult. Progress through increasingly challenging levels, earn rewards, complete daily missions, and compete on leaderboards—all in short, easy-to-pick-up sessions.
The idea for Kosti came to me while I was developing a classic mine-hunting puzzle game. While experimenting with different rewards and penalties for a simple grid puzzle, Kosti was born — a mole character who becomes part of the game and interacts with the player.
For me, what was missing was a sense of curiosity. I wanted the feeling of “What will I discover next?” to continue even after solving a puzzle.
I didn’t want the player’s discoveries to simply disappear after each level. Having the artifacts they find accumulate in a museum gives every level a lasting place in the overall game.
At first, I had a much simpler game in mind. As Kosti evolved, the character, artifacts, museum collections and exploration tools became natural parts of the experience, and the project grew into a broader exploration game than I originally expected.
I’d especially love feedback on the difficulty balance of the puzzles and whether the artifact collection system gives players enough motivation to keep exploring. My goal is for Kosti to be accessible enough for short play sessions while still creating enough curiosity to make players want to come back for more. That’s why player feedback will be an important part of how Kosti evolves from here.
