Media HUD, notifications, file tray, clipboard, keep awake, keyboard lock and widgets, all in the notch. Native SwiftUI for macOS 14+. Free for 14 days, then $11.50 lifetime. Eleven of the utilities are free standalone menu-bar apps.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm a solo Mac developer.
Korinotch started as a small experiment: could the notch on my MacBook Pro do something useful instead of just sitting there? A couple of years later it is a native SwiftUI app that handles Now Playing with album art and controls, a smaller volume and brightness HUD, WhatsApp and Gmail previews, system notification banners, a dropzone file tray with clipboard history, Keep Awake, a Pomodoro timer, camera and mic privacy indicators, a color picker, a keyboard lock overlay, weather, calendar reminders and a few more.
Along the way I noticed many people only wanted one of those pieces. So I split them out. Keep Awake, Keyboard Lock, File Shelf, Clipboard Mini, Screen OCR, Color Picker, Usage, Break Reminder, App Cleaner, Format Converter and HUD Notch are all free standalone menu-bar apps at korinotch.com/apps. No purchase needed, just a Korinotch account.
The full app is free for 14 days without a card, then $11.50 lifetime or $1.50 a month. It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma through 26 Tahoe.
Honest limits: it is built for Macs with a notch, and the keyboard lock cannot live in the App Store because it needs an Accessibility event tap.
I would love to hear what is missing, what is confusing, and which mini app you would actually keep. I will be in the comments all day.
