Komorebi

Find your next book, comic, or movie by mood, not genre

Komorebi is a cross-media discovery engine: one semantic search across books, comics, movies and TV, matched by mood instead of genre. Real reviews from real readers and verified Creators — no engagement-driven algorithm. Explore connections in a 3D constellation, or follow a Creator-curated Path that crosses media types (a book, then a film, then a show, all on the same thread).

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Komorebi because I was tired of switching between Goodreads, Letterboxd and MyAnimeList just to answer one question: "what should I read/watch tonight, given how I'm feeling?" None of them search by mood, and none of them cross media types. Komorebi does both: type "confortante" or "atmosfera anni '40, noir decadente" and it searches books, comics, movies and series together, weighing real community reviews and Creator write-ups — not an engagement algorithm. A few things I'm proud of: Percorsi (Creator-curated sequences that cross media — a book, then a film that reinterprets it, then a show that goes deeper), and a 3D constellation view where you can literally see which works are connected by mood. It's free, no ads. Would love your feedback, especially on the mood search — that's the part I care most about getting right.

Who hunted Komorebi?

Komorebi was hunted by Andrea Sidoti. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
