Koku
The Pomodoro timer that actually gets your attention
Koku is a minimalist Pomodoro timer for iPhone and Apple Watch with full-screen alerts, Live Activities, lock screen controls, widgets, and no ads, accounts, or subscriptions.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Rodolfo - the maker of Koku.
I built it because most Pomodoro timers were fine at counting down, but bad at the part that actually mattered for me - helping me notice when the session ended.
I have ADHD so a normal notification was too easy to miss or dismiss without thinking, so I wanted something much harder to ignore.
That’s why Koku focuses on just a few core things:
- full-screen alerts
- Live Activity + lock screen controls
- Apple Watch support
- no ads, no account, no subscription
I tried to keep it intentionally minimal. No streaks, no gamification, no extra productivity theater. Just a timer that does one job and gets out of the way.
Happy to answer questions about the app, the design choices, or anything else really.
