I’ve always trusted people through other people — “I know a guy who knows a guy.” Online, that chain broke. LinkedIn likes and empty endorsements don’t prove anyone actually worked with you. I wanted a simple way to make real professional trust visible.
When you apply for a job, pitch a client, or hire someone, a PDF and a polished profile aren’t enough. The hard question is: who can vouch that they actually know this person? knownguy lets professionals collect real vouches, show them on a public profile, and share a trust badge — then stand out when applying for roles.
It started as a vouch link and a public trust profile. Then we added a badge people can put on LinkedIn/CVs, and a jobs layer so trust sits next to real opportunities. The product kept getting simpler: less “social network,” more “proof you can send in one link.”
