I built Klartext because extracting usable content from PDFs and scanned documents is often more complicated than it should be.
Many existing tools require paid API credits, send documents to external AI services or produce poorly structured output. Klartext processes the files on my own server and converts them into clean Markdown and structured JSON.
I tested it with real-world PDFs, Office documents, spreadsheets, images and scanned historical documents. The service is still at an early stage, so honest feedback is especially valuable.
