Kima Pet

One shared timeline for everyone caring for your pets

Unlike single-user pet trackers or group chats, Kima is built around shared care. It gives households, families, roommates, and pet sitters one structured timeline for meals, walks, medication doses, tasks, health updates, photos, and more. Recurring reminders, date-limited sitter access, care charts, vet-ready reports, and AI insights help everyone see what happened, who handled it, and what comes next.

Hi Product Hunt 👋.

I built Kima Pet after a trip my wife and I took outside the country.
We had a pet sitter looking after our cat, Chi, and the large time difference made it difficult to know how she was doing. We didn’t want to constantly text asking whether she had eaten, had playtime, or whether everything was going well. We also didn’t want the sitter to feel like she had to write us a complete update several times a day.

We had a group chat, but it still depended on someone remembering to send an update or someone else asking for one. Meals, medications, photos, and other important details became mixed into the conversation and difficult to find later.

I realized we didn’t need another way to communicate. We needed something more structured and asynchronous.
I wanted the sitter to be able to quickly log care as it happened, while my wife and I could check in whenever we wanted without prompting anyone. That became Kima.

While building it, I realized this wasn’t only a pet-sitting problem. At home, my wife and I were already asking each other whether Chi had eaten, how much she ate, or whether she received her medication.
Then Chi developed a complication after being spayed. We needed to track bandage removals, antibiotics, vomiting, food intake, and other symptoms. Kima helped us stay on schedule and gave us an accurate history to share with our vet.

What started as a tool for checking on a pet while traveling gradually became part of our everyday routine.
Kima now gives everyone caring for a pet one shared timeline for meals, walks, medications, tasks, health updates, photos, and more. It also includes recurring reminders, date-limited sitter access, care charts, vet-ready reports, and AI insights.

Kima Pet is available now on iPhone, with Android coming soon. The core version is free.

I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback. Does the shared pet-care timeline concept immediately make sense? Which use case feels strongest to you: coordinating everyday care or staying informed while someone else is caring for your pet?

Thanks for checking out something I built to solve a very real problem in our own lives 🐾
