I was getting help with my mental health during a really challenging point in my life. I didn’t see value in continuing to suffer. I couldn’t see my future and believed I’d be better gone. The care I got during that time was incredible, but it all felt so disconnected from the world I actually live in. While I was engaging with community mental health support I went looking for something digital. A way to capture what I was learning, build structure into my day, work my coping skills into the moments I actually needed them. I didn’t even really know what that looked like. I just knew I needed something. What I found was fragments. Apps with such a narrow focus you needed five of them just to cover the basics, most of them hidden behind subscriptions. Sleep tracking here. Mood journaling there. Coping tools somewhere else. Nothing that just… held it all together. I’m a developer. I saw the gap. I had the skills. So I built Kiltr. Not for money. Not for success. If it flops, it flops. But if it helps just one person on their journey to better wellbeing, I’ve already succeeded beyond anything I could have hoped for. That’s it. That’s the whole reason.
