Hold ⌘ in any Mac app to see every keyboard shortcut, read live from its menus. Click a row to run it. Free, no time limit. Keysi Pro ($14.99 once) teaches the ones you keep missing: a quiet reminder, spaced-repetition drills, and "New" marks after updates.
Hey PH! 👋
Keysi started because I used to love CheatSheet, the little app that shows a Mac app's keyboard shortcuts when you hold a key, and it died on macOS Sonoma with nothing quite replacing it. Turned out the API it needed never actually broke, so I rebuilt the idea from scratch (no shared code).
What it does:
- Hold ⌘ and see every shortcut of the app you're in, read live from its menus. Every row is clickable: it's the actual menu, so clicking "Export…" runs Export.
- It tells you when macOS itself will intercept a shortcut before you ever press it, instead of leaving you wondering why nothing happened.
- Ten built-in cheat sheets for shortcuts no menu lists (Figma, Slack, Notion, Obsidian, Excel, Word, Ghostty, Vim, tmux and Emacs), plus an editor for your own. Keysi looks inside your terminal, so the Vim and tmux sheets fire for Vim and tmux, not just the terminal app.
- It reads the shortcuts you rebound yourself in Xcode, VS Code and JetBrains IDEs.
- Localized into 9 languages.
The part people don't expect, in Keysi Pro: it notices when you pick something from a menu with the mouse that already has a shortcut, and quietly tells you once. Practice Mode then drills the ones you keep missing with spaced repetition. After an app updates, the overlay marks the shortcuts the update added, and if you keep clicking a command that has no shortcut at all, Keysi suggests a free key combination and where to set it.
One honest limitation: you can't type to search while holding ⌘ (a technical constraint, not a missing feature; happy to explain in the comments). A separate hotkey, ⇧⌘K, opens a proper searchable panel.
Pricing: the app is free, with no time limit and no account: the overlay, click-to-run, search, custom sheets and Markdown/PDF export. Keysi Pro is $14.99 once: Shortcut Coach, Practice Mode, and integrations like Raycast, Alfred and Shortcuts. You get 14 days of Pro when you grant access, and when they end the app keeps working as the free tier. macOS 14 or later.
I'll be here all day; I'd love to hear what you think.

Who hunted Keysi?
Keysi was hunted by Manu Lorenzo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
