Keyboard Hero
Build keyboard-first habits through interactive missions
Keyboard Hero is a free browser game that helps developers build keyboard-first habits through 40 hands-on missions covering navigation, selection, editing, search, and multiple cursors. No signup required.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Keyboard Hero after realizing that knowing keyboard shortcuts and actually using them in daily work are two very different things.
I kept reaching for the mouse to select words, move lines, search through code, or edit multiple occurrences-even though I technically knew the shortcuts.
Keyboard Hero turns those workflows into 40 short, hands-on missions designed to build real keyboard muscle memory.
It’s not a typing-speed test, and it doesn’t teach coding. The goal is simple: help developers work more efficiently without constantly switching between the keyboard and mouse.
It’s free, works directly in the browser, and requires no signup.
I’d especially love feedback on:
• Which keyboard workflow should I add next?
• Where does the difficulty feel too easy or too hard?
• Did any shortcuts behave incorrectly on your operating system?
Thanks for checking it out!
