Kern
Sober streak tracker built for iOS. No social feed.
One day at a time — beautifully counted. Kern is a minimal sobriety streak tracker that lives on your Lock Screen, home screen widget, and Apple Watch. No social feed. No gamification. No judgment. Just your streak, your milestones, and a widget that shows up exactly when you need it. Everything on-device. Free to use.
The sobriety app market is crowded — I Am Sober, Nomo, Sober Time. They all have streak counters. None of them treat iOS as a platform.
I built Kern because I believe the right tool should be *there* — on your lock screen before you unlock your phone, on your watch face when you check the time, in StandBy mode on your nightstand. Quiet but present.
No social feed. No badges designed to create anxiety. No paywall on the core streak feature. Just a beautifully minimal counter backed by WidgetKit, CoreData, and StoreKit.
Built with SwiftUI. Designed to be the sobriety tool that Apple would feature because it cares about the platform.
Third launch this month from the same indie dev — also shipping PhotoDrift (Jun 10) and Snapdraft (Jun 17). Happy to talk iOS architecture.

Who hunted Kern?
Kern was hunted by Vadym Suprun. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
