I'm terrible at organizing files. My Downloads folder is basically a filing system, and I have a bad habit of saving something knowing I'll need it later without giving much thought to where it went.
So we built Kepter.
It's basically a drawer that lives at the edge of your screen. Everything you save shows up visually, newest first. Screenshots, PDFs, scans, receipts, voice memos, all in one place.
Most of the time I don't search for anything. I just scroll until I recognize what I need, the same way I'd find a photo on my phone. Then I can drag it straight into an email, message, doc, whatever I'm working on.
And when I can't spot it, Kepter reads what's inside the files too. So I can search for something like "dentist receipt" without knowing what the file was called or where I saved it.
Privacy was also a big part of this for me. Kepter reads files where they already live and doesn't make another copy of them. There's no account, no server, and your files never leave your Mac.
