Keen Social
Find out when your friends are free, then actually go out
Keen tells you when you and your mates are free at the same time — and what's on in Melbourne and Sydney that you'll all actually love. Stop asking. Start going.
Hey Product Hunt! Jerome here, solo founder of Keen 👋
Keen started with a pattern you'll recognise: the group chat says "we should catch up soon", everyone agrees, and then nothing happens. Not because anyone's lying. Nobody knows when anyone else is free, and nobody wants to be the one doing the organising.
So I flipped the model. Instead of starting with a plan and begging for availability, Keen starts with availability. You tap the nights you're keen to go out (takes about 10 seconds a week), your mates do the same, and Keen watches for the overlap. When it finds one, you get a single push: "You, Sam and Kate are free Friday. Ball Park Music is playing at the Corner Hotel." From there it's one tap to make it a plan, with RSVPs and a group chat built in.
A few things I care deeply about:
- No strangers. Keen is for the friends you already have. It just gets you in the same room more often.
- No feed, no scrolling. The entire product is one good notification. Every match push is human-reviewed before it sends, and there's a hard cap so we never spam you.
- Flaky-friend friendly. You can be "keen" or "maybe" for a night. Maybe is not a promise.
We're live in Melbourne & Sydney, Australia right now, with events pulled in nightly from Ticketmaster, Moshtix and local councils. Wider rollout comes once we've nailed it here.
I'd love your honest take: would knowing your mates were free actually get you out more? And if you've tried to organise anything with more than three adults lately, tell me your horror story. I'm collecting them.

Who hunted Keen Social?
Keen Social was hunted by Jerome Muldoon. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
