The honest origin story: I got defrauded in crypto. Me personally not a client, not a case study. I'd spent 20+ years building reliability infrastructure (U.S. Navy, then running $850M+ infrastructure programs at Microsoft), so I did what any engineer does: went looking for the system that should have caught it.
It didn't exist. Digital assets run 24/7, but the teams responsible for them are still reconciling fragmented records across wallets, custodians, exchanges, and protocols, slower closes, blind spots, decisions made on a partial picture. The seams between all those duct-taped tools are where fraud lives.
